Nice little townie bar. I'm new to the area and usually go to Smitty's for bar pizza but they are closed on my days off so I tried Grove St Tavern and it did not disappoint. The bar tenders were friendly and attentive and the pizza was delicious. I will definitely frequent this place.

First time coming here and will be back! The location and exterior may seem sketchy, but a nice friendly staff and regulars await you inside. Started off with the gold fever tenders. Lightly breaded and definitely fresh. GREAT sauce. I got a BBQ chicken pizza which comes with onion and bacon. Ordered it crispy because I like a harder crust and was not disappointed. Most other bar pies or regular pizza places put some grilled chicken on top and drizzle with BBQ sauce, but this place puts shredded BBQ chicken UNDER the cheese and it's genius using that shredded chicken. It was spread throughout the entire pizza so I could actually taste BBQ chicken in each bite. Very good amount of crumbled bacon and red onion. Highly recommend if you like bbq chicken! My boyfriend ordered pepperoni, jalapeño and chorizo, crispy with burnt/laced edges. He really liked it but thinks the chorizo was a bit overpowering but I think that's a good thing. He usually does bacon so I'll chalk this up as just being too different for him. My only MINOR critique was that the cheese hardened quite a bit when it cooled, doesn't stay as soft as maybe Town Spa would but again, still only a tiny complaint. I prefer a blend with not as much mozzarella because it's a bit softer and flavorful but that will not keep me from coming back at all! (I used this same review on Yelp, it's not fake I just didn't want to type something different, copy & paste!)

Have been wanting to try bar pizza from mass for awhile now, I was in the area and it's was lunch time so I definitely had to make a stop here. Took a look at the menu and ordered the bar pizza with feta, Roni and chorizo which was delicious and also ordered some onion rings. Everything was delicious 👍.

If you want a great South Shore style bar pizza then look no further than the Grove Street Tavern! We stumbled upon this local Taunton gem after seeing a mention on Facebook. Turns out that it’s a friendly low-key spot with typical pub menu, akin to Buddy’s Union Villa in Easton or the Cape Cod Cafe in Brockton. The staff and owner are personable and welcoming! We can’t wait to return and try everything else on the menu. Highly recommend!

Quiet place little hole in the wall tavern, plenty of places to sit and enjoy my lunch. I decided for the tuna melt which was very tasty and I could not eat the whole meal. So I have some for tonight's dinner...

Very impressed! First time trying & went with takeout pizza & onion rings! SO good! For the crust to hold the weight of taco pizza toppings, without getting soggy, is impressive in itself! Found our new pizza spot :)

Stopped in for lunch -had heard so many good things about Grove St Tavern! Our visit did not disappoint! Loved the old school atmosphere and staff was friendly and attentive. We got the small nachos with chicken which was more than enough for two people with plenty of topping and cheese. We also ordered a garlic pizza and small Cesar salad. The garlic pizza was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The salad was fresh and the dressing thick and creamy.
Cannot wait to come back to try the burgers!

Stopped by Grove Street Tavern for some bar pizza and an adult beverage. Mission accomplished. Went with a chourico, bacon and pepperoni pie backed crispy and laced edges. Pig pile was solid. Excellent bar pie. Cooked perfect. Good cheese pull. Tasty sauce. Had Sam's winter on draft. Ice cold.

Lively little pub over in Taunton near Mom and Dad. We've been a few times and given most of the menu a try. Lots of great bar snack/apps, the pizzas are awesome.
Just got a take out order that was so good I had to share:
*Clam Cakes and Chowder (special): Nice size order and they have a creamy, flavorful chowder.
*Cape Cod Reuben (special): Fantastic! A nice sized piece of fish, on toasted Rye with slaw and Swiss cheese. Great balance of flavors. Served with fries.
*Greek Salad (full size): One of the nicest Greek Salads around. We did the full size, plenty for 2. Chock full of veggies, the red/orange/yellow peppers were a nice addition to all the usual suspects (Olives, pepperocini, feta, grape tomatoes) and a nice house-made Greek dressing. We'll definitely get again.
Overall, nice vibes and good food.
